You can help SimCity Wiki by expanding this section. Ground Vehicles This section is in need of additional information. 1.3 Civilian Car (not a My Sim's vehicle). ![]() Italics denote evil missions, which gives simoleons at the cost of mayor rating. The player loses if the car get destroyed or run out of time. Their health is indicated by the Plumbob hovering above the vehicle. Certain vehicles have different resistance to damage, the most highly resistant are military vehicles such as the tank, and 3-wheelers and motorcycles are at the bottom. Vehicles in the game have a health limit on how many collisions before exploding. The player needs a My Sim in order to drive a civilian car, aside from the mission Freedom of Expression. There are only 2 free vehicles, and those are the Ice Cream Truck and the Get Away Van (although their missions are unavailable until the player have the correct prerequisites.) The missions usually give either simoleons, raise (or lower) the player's mayor rating, or unlock a new building. So I give the game an 8 out of 10 but EA and Maxis a minus 7 resulting in my 3 star rating for the all round game experience. This is a list of U-Drive It missions available in SimCity 4: Rush Hour. This peeved me off no end, especially since the only way to inquire about this fault that EA games provides is to call a help line number which charges 30p a min! Out of order when I have already paid for the game and it is the companies fault that the code provided does not work. How this came to be I don't know but I had to actively look online for a working number in order to be able to use the game. However this particular copy of the game came with an incorrect code ( the 20 digit serial number required to play it). I also enjoy creating landscapes that I can then transfer into The Sims 2 to play as neighbourhoods (this being the main reason I bought this game, The Sims 2 is still my steez has been for years). I'm a big fan of God mode games and this is one of the best games out there (of it's era anyway). ![]() I like this game, heck I like pretty much all of the Sim City games. Considering it's age it doesn't fall too far behind the latest iteration, indeed some people say it is still superior. There are "no cd" cracks which I can't condone using but it is a pain to have to put the disk in every time you want to play.Īs a side-note, there are command line switches to set custom resolutions, number of processors - just search for them. More importantly, the game requires disk #2 to be in your drive whenever you want to play the game because even when it was released back then EA were convinced that DRM was the answer to everything. The game needs patching to fix crash-to-desktops, rather oddly even though I downloaded this from EA my firewall software Comodo reported malware but despite scanning with two other products it seems like a false-positive. There are some downsides in buying the disk over the (slightly more expensive) Steam version, however. Pleasingly though, it does include a lot of what I liked from watching 5 - traffic management and pollution containment are paramount to producing a good city. ![]() It gives you larger city areas to build in, more control over power and water, but doesn't have as much in the way of city diversification, upgradability of services, and also lacks the nice curved roads and clean 3D graphics of 5. Since Sim City 5 was released and I'd watched quite a lot on, plus knowing that my laptop would likely not enjoy coping with it and the teething problems with the game, I decided to purchase this essentially 10 year old game. Prior to playing this I'd only briefly dipped into Sim City 2000, but as a console player in my earlier years I'd not really become familiar with management games, bar the odd bout of Theme Park.
